This was a total waste of time and patience I thought the theme culture clash and a possible honor killing might be interesting I m sure it could be in another setting, but this telling of it was unbelievably boring I figured out the likely murderer soon after he was presented, and most of the moti e The plotting is moderately okay, but the entire gallery of characters are unsympathetic I think I m done with this author for good now.

I read Forgotten Girls earlier this year and I became a fan Danish author Sara Blaedel writes relevant detective stories This book published a few years ago deals with a timely issue of Arab family living in a western community I really enjoyed this who dunnit story.

I never felt engaged by the characters A few times the main character a cop gets information like the autopsy report or finally notices something and you wonder if the full crew of cops working on the case are incompetent since it is something they should have looked into long ago I also hate it when the author so obviously leads the reader astray major red herring.

Quick read, very readable Interesting on tensions in Danish society and cultural conflicts within immigrant communities, especially for the young I like the main character although I wonder whether her close friendship with a reporter might not be a disadvantage in her work, and I wasn t wholly convinced by the murderer s motives.
